Simple Firmware Interface (SFI) is a lightweight method developed by Intel Corporation for firmware to export static tables to an operating system. It was supported by Intel's hand-held Moorestown platform. SFI tables are memory data structures with a shared header format. SFI can access an ACPI XSDT and standard ACPI tables. Linux first implemented SFI, later marking it obsolete in kernel 5.6 and removing support in kernel 5.12.
