Keg

A keg is a small cask used for storing liquids. Historically, wooden kegs made by coopers transported nails, gunpowder, and various liquids. Modern kegs are normally made of stainless steel, though aluminium versions may have a plastic inner coating. Kegs commonly store, transport, and serve beer, but can also hold other alcoholic or non-alcoholic drinks. Carbonated beverages are generally kept under pressure to retain dissolved carbon dioxide.
