The black-naped monarch (Hypothymis azurea) is a passerine bird in the monarch flycatcher family, found in southern and south-eastern Asia. Males have a black patch on the back of the head and a narrow black half collar, while females are duller, with olive brown wings and no black head markings. In tropical forests, pairs may join mixed-species foraging flocks. Populations vary slightly in plumage colour and size.
