Messier 7, or M7, is an open cluster of stars in the constellation Scorpius. It is also designated NGC 6475 and is sometimes called Ptolemy's Cluster. The cluster can be detected with the naked eye near the “stinger” of Scorpius. At a declination of −34.8°, it is the southernmost object in the Messier catalogue.
