  • Symptoms and Signs

A nipple bleb is a thin-walled blister on the nipple, which may contain serous or other fluid and appear pink or light yellow. It may occur when a blocked pore causes fluid to collect beneath the epidermis. A persistent bleb can obstruct milk flow and may lead to a blocked milk duct or mastitis. It usually disappears within two days and may be treated with a warm saline soak and gentle washing.
