The solar eclipse of 12 August 2026 was a total solar eclipse with a magnitude of 1.0386. Its narrow path of totality crossed northernmost Siberia, the Arctic, Greenland, Iceland, the Atlantic Ocean, northern Spain, northeastern Portugal, the Mediterranean Sea, and the Balearic Islands. Greatest totality, lasting 2 minutes and 18.2 seconds, occurred west of Iceland. Partial phases were visible across much of Europe, North Africa, and northern North America.
