Guthrie is a city and the county seat of Logan County, Oklahoma, United States, within the Oklahoma City Metroplex. It had 10,749 residents in the 2020 census. Developed rapidly after the Land Run of 1889, it served as the territorial capital and Oklahoma's first state capital until voters selected Oklahoma City in 1910. Its Guthrie Historic District, a National Historic Landmark, contains more than 2,000 buildings and is noted for late 19th- and early 20th-century commercial architecture.
