Jean Benedicti was a French Franciscan theologian of the sixteenth century. A member of the Observantine Province of Tours and Poitiers, he became secretary of the order and travelled through Europe with the minister-general Christopher a Capite Fontium during visits to Franciscan houses. He later served as commissary-general of the French, visited Italian provinces, and made a pilgrimage to Palestine. His remains were interred at the Friary at Laval.
