The rosy starling, also called the rose-coloured starling, is a passerine bird in the starling family Sturnidae. Its scientific name is Pastor roseus. In 2008, it was restored to its own monotypic genus, Pastor, after previously being included in a broad interpretation of Sturnus. Studies identify the wattled starling of tropical Africa as its closest relative.
