"PPAP (Pen-Pineapple-Apple-Pen)" is a 2016 single by Pikotaro, a fictional singer-songwriter created and portrayed by Japanese comedian Daimaou Kosaka. Released as a YouTube music video, it became a viral video and spawned parodies. The single reached number 1 on the Billboard Japan Hot 100 and, at 45 seconds, was then the shortest single to chart on the Billboard Hot 100.
