Dog sled

A dog sled, also called a dog sleigh, is an animal-drawn sled pulled by one or more sled dogs for travel over ice and snow. This practice is known as mushing. Dog sleds come in numerous types according to their function and may be used for dog sled racing. Traditional dog arrangements include a fan shape in Greenland and the eastern Canadian Arctic, and side-by-side pairs in Alaska and western Northern Canada.
