Torii Kiyonaga (1752 to June 28, 1815) was a Japanese ukiyo-e artist of the Torii school. Born Sekiguchi Shinsuke, he was the son of an Edo bookseller and later adopted Torii Kiyonaga as his art name. He succeeded his adoptive father and teacher, Torii Kiyomitsu, as head of the school in 1787. Kiyonaga organized production of kabuki signboards and trained Torii Kiyomine, Kiyomitsu's grandson.
