USS Zumwalt (DDG-1000) is a United States Navy guided missile destroyer and the lead ship of the Zumwalt class. It was the first ship named for Admiral Elmo Zumwalt. The ship has stealth capabilities, with a radar cross-section said to be similar to that of a fishing boat despite its large size. Commissioned in Baltimore on 15 October 2016, it is home-ported in San Diego, California. In late 2024, its AGS was partly replaced by the IRCPS weapon system.
