The Embraer EMB 312 T-27 Tucano is a Brazilian low-wing, tandem-seat, single-turboprop aircraft used for basic training and light attack. Developed and produced by Embraer, it first flew in 1980 and production deliveries began in 1983. The Brazilian Air Force supported the project from late 1978. A total of 637 Tucanos were produced by Embraer and Short Brothers, and they flew with 18 air forces.
