USS Dolphin (SS-169) was a United States Navy submarine and one of the V-boats. It was the sixth Navy ship named for the aquatic mammal. Before commissioning, the submarine was also called V-7 and held the classifications SF-10 and SC-3. Dolphin was launched by the Portsmouth Navy Yard on 6 March 1932 and commissioned on 1 June 1932.
