Mohammed Mani Ahmad al-Qahtani is a Saudi citizen who was detained at the United States Guantanamo Bay detention camp in Cuba for 20 years as an alleged al-Qaeda operative. He was accused of attempting to enter the United States to participate in the September 11 attacks. Charges brought in 2008 were later dropped after evidence was found to have been obtained through torture. In 2022, he was transferred to Saudi Arabia for mental health treatment.
