Pepsi is a cola-flavored carbonated soft drink and the flagship product of PepsiCo. It was created by Caleb Bradham in 1893 as Brad's Drink and first sold at his drugstore in New Bern, North Carolina. The drink was renamed Pepsi-Cola in 1898 and later marketed as Pepsi. Pepsi has had a long-running commercial rivalry with Coca-Cola, often called the cola wars, and its brand portfolio includes Diet Pepsi and Pepsi Max.
