Mission Freston was a British Special Operations Executive military mission to German-occupied Poland during World War II, commanded by Col. Capt D.T. Bill Hudson. Its members parachuted near Żarki on 26/27 December 1944 after earlier unsuccessful attempts. The mission was intended to liaise between Home Army Headquarters and Soviet command. Home Army units protected the group, which was later arrested by the Soviet NKVD and taken to Moscow before release after the Yalta Conference.
