The Sukhoi Su-24, NATO reporting name Fencer, is a supersonic, all-weather tactical bomber developed in the Soviet Union. It has variable-sweep wings, two engines, and side-by-side seating for a crew of two. It was the first USSR aircraft to carry an integrated digital navigation and attack system. Development began in the early 1960s, and the aircraft first flew in 1967. It entered service in 1974 and remains in use with several air forces.
