Xi Jinping is a Chinese politician and China’s paramount leader. He has been general secretary of the Chinese Communist Party and chairman of its Central Military Commission since 2012, and president of China and chairman of the State Central Military Commission since 2013. His leadership has included an anti-corruption campaign, economic and technological policies, tighter state control, and an assertive foreign policy. His ideology, Xi Jinping Thought, is incorporated into party and national constitutions.
