Facel S.A. was a French manufacturer that began by producing pressed steel automobile components and later made complete automobiles. Created in December 1939 as a Bronzavia subsidiary, it made special bodies for several French marques after World War II. After losing major customers, Facel designed its own cars, beginning with the Vega in 1954. Warranty losses on the 1959 Facellia contributed to its closure in October 1964.
