Jean Frédéric Joliot-Curie was a French chemist and physicist. In 1935, he and his wife, Irène Joliot-Curie, received the Nobel Prize in Chemistry for discovering induced radioactivity. The pair were the second married couple to win a Nobel Prize, after Irène's parents. They also founded the Orsay Faculty of Sciences, which is part of Paris-Saclay University.
