The chestnut-throated monal-partridge, Tetraophasis obscurus, is a bird species in the family Phasianidae. It is found only in central China, where its natural habitat is boreal forest. It is also called the chestnut-throated partridge and Verreaux's monal-partridge. The latter common name commemorates the French naturalist Jules Verreaux.
