The V Amphibious Corps (VAC) was a United States Marine Corps formation in World War II. It comprised the 3rd, 4th and 5th Marine Divisions and served as the amphibious landing force of the United States Fifth Fleet. Its goals included removing Japanese forces from islands so that U.S. Seabees could construct advance bases. VAC was involved in the battles of Tarawa, Saipan and Iwo Jima.
