Dagestan Oblast was a province of the Caucasus Viceroyalty of the Russian Empire. Created in 1860 from territories of the former Caucasian Imamate, it roughly corresponded to much of present-day southeastern Dagestan in the Russian Federation. Its administrative center was Temir-Khan-Shura, now Buynaksk. The oblast bordered Terek Oblast, Tiflis Governorate, Zakatal Okrug, Elizavetpol Governorate, and Baku Governorate.
