The Papal Basilica of Saint Mary the Great, also known as the Basilica of Saint Mary Major, is a Roman Catholic papal basilica and one of the Seven Pilgrim Churches of Rome. Located in Piazza dell'Esquilino, it is the largest Marian church in Rome and is dedicated to Our Lady of the Snow. The basilica holds Christian relics including the holy crib of the Child Jesus and the image Salus Populi Romani.
