Otto Adolf Eichmann was a German-Austrian Nazi Party official and SS officer who helped organize the Holocaust. He attended the Wannsee Conference and managed logistics for the mass deportation of Jews to ghettos and extermination camps across German-occupied Europe. Captured after the war, he escaped to Argentina, where Israeli agents found him in 1960. He was tried in Jerusalem, convicted of war crimes and crimes against humanity, and executed in 1962.

Following an inquiry from a Wikipedian in 2014, the library checked the negative and confirmed "with certainty" that this is not one of Hoffmann's images. His negatives were made of glass and had identifying numbers etched onto them. The library said they cannot determine the authorship of the Eichmann negative., Immediate source Blic.rs.
