USS John S. McCain (DDG-56) is an Arleigh Burke-class Flight I Aegis guided missile destroyer in service with the United States Navy. It is assigned to Destroyer Squadron 23 within the Third Fleet and is homeported at Naval Station Everett in Everett, Washington. In August 2017, the destroyer collided with the tanker Alnic MC off Singapore, killing 10 crew members and injuring five others. Repairs were completed in October 2019.
