Adelaide Louise Hall was an American-born, UK-based jazz singer and entertainer whose career lasted from 1921 until her death in 1993. A major figure in the Harlem Renaissance early in her career, she became based in the United Kingdom after 1938. Hall recorded with Duke Ellington and Fats Waller, and her best-known recording with Ellington was “Creole Love Call” in 1927.
