The 1968 24 Hours of Le Mans was the 36th Grand Prix of Endurance, held on 28 and 29 September at the Circuit de la Sarthe in Le Mans, France. It was postponed from June because of protests, strikes and civil unrest in France. Pedro Rodriguez and Lucien Bianchi won in a J.W. Automotive Gulf-Oil Ford GT40, securing Ford the manufacturer's title. Two major accidents ended the racing careers of Willy Mairesse and Mauro Bianchi.
