Gamma globulins are a class of globulins identified by their position after serum protein electrophoresis. Their most significant members are immunoglobulins, also called antibodies. However, the two categories do not completely overlap: some immunoglobulins are not gamma globulins, and some gamma globulins are not immunoglobulins.
