Nigersaurus was a genus of rebbachisaurid sauropod dinosaur that lived about 115 to 105 million years ago. Its fossils were found in the Elrhaz Formation at Gadoufaoua in Niger. Small for a sauropod, it had a short neck, robust limbs, and a specialised skull with a wide muzzle containing more than 500 rapidly replaced teeth. It probably browsed on soft plants with its head close to the ground.
