The orange-backed troupial (Icterus croconotus) is a bird species in the family Icteridae. It occurs in Guyana, Brazil, Paraguay, eastern Ecuador, Bolivia and Peru. It is closely related to the Venezuelan troupial and the Campo troupial. These three birds were formerly considered to belong to the same species.
