The Hani, also called a chicken finger pita wrap, is a sandwich from Detroit. It combines fried chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, and mayonnaise in pita bread, and is often served with ranch dressing. It was invented in 1985 by a line cook named Hani at a National Coney Island location in Detroit. The dish later spread to other area restaurants and remains relatively unfamiliar outside Metro Detroit.
