The daughter of sculptor Ignaz Gabloner, she studied architecture in Rome and had a brief acting career during those years. Her final film was Vittorio De Sica's The Children Are Watching Us (1944). She published an autobiography in 2004 and died in Ritten, Italy, on March 3, 2008.
