Colubroides is a clade within the snake suborder Serpentes. It contains over 85% of all extant snake species and has been found to be monophyletic. Its largest family is Colubridae, alongside at least six other families, several of which were formerly classified within Colubridae. Zaher et al. proposed the name Colubroides in 2009, restricting Colubroidea to a narrower grouping.
