Nostradamus

Michel de Nostredame, usually Latinised as Nostradamus, was a French astrologer, apothecary and physician. He is best known for Les Prophéties, published in 1555, which contains 942 poetic quatrains allegedly predicting future events. He also wrote almanacs and worked as an astrologer for wealthy patrons, including Catherine de' Medici. Academic sources reject claims of supernatural prophecy, describing the quatrains as vague and their supposed predictions as misinterpretations or mistranslations.
