USS Admiral R. E. Coontz (AP-122) was an Admiral W. S. Benson-class transport built for the U.S. Navy during World War II. Commissioned in November 1944, she served in the Pacific and European theaters. After decommissioning in 1946, she was transferred to the U.S. War Department and renamed General Alexander M. Patch. The ship later carried troops and cargo, rescued refugees during the Suez Crisis, and supported U.S. operations in Southeast Asia before being sold for scrapping in 2001.
