The DFL-Ligapokal, also called the German League Cup, was a German football competition held before the Bundesliga season. It featured the top five teams from the previous Bundesliga season and the DFB-Pokal winners. Following sponsorship by the pay television network Premiere, it was known as the Premiere-Ligapokal after 2005. The competition was not held in 2008 and was abolished in 2009.
