Egypt held parliamentary elections in two phases from 17 October to 2 December 2015 to elect the House of Representatives. Security was tightened and the president appealed for participation, but turnout was low in some areas. Pro-Sisi forces won a majority: independents took 325 of 596 seats, the For the Love of Egypt alliance won all party-list seats, and the Free Egyptians Party won 65 seats.
