Terms of Use
Last updated 3 October 2026
These Terms apply when you play Kosmora (the "game"). Creating an account means you accept them. If you don't agree, please don't use the game.
What changed on 1 October 2026: Kosmora is for adults only (18 and over), and you can buy Astra, the star currency, with real money. Sections 2 to 4 explain how purchases and payments work, why the right of withdrawal ends once your Astra are delivered, and our refund policy.
1. Game items
- Kosmo, Astra, packs, cards, talents, Style items and other game items are licensed to you for use in the game. They aren't your property, have no cash value and can't be exchanged for money, apart from the refunds of Astra described in section 4.
- Kosmo is earned by playing. Real money never buys Kosmo.
- Selling or trading accounts, Kosmo, Astra, cards or other game items for real money or anything outside the game is not allowed.
2. Astra and purchases
- Astra are the star currency of Kosmora. You earn them by playing (the day's third daily challenge, day 7 of your daily streak, now and then in a pack, and some Odyssey levels), and you can also buy them with real money in bundles. Real money only ever buys Astra.
- Astra buy two things: items in the Astra shop and the Odyssey. The shop sells Style items (titles, avatar effects, banners, album backgrounds and reactions) and card changes, which change how one copy of a card looks and never its rarity, text or income. The Odyssey can also be bought with Kosmo. Once you have it, you claim its rewards, which include Kosmo, Astra, packs and cards, level by level as you earn points by playing.
- Astra never expire. You can buy Astra for one of your friends at checkout: they go straight to that friend's balance, and a refund of that purchase takes back only the Astra your friend has not spent. Astra already in a balance can't be sent or given to another player, traded, sold or exchanged for money, and they have no cash value. Astra you earn by playing are spent first, then bought Astra, oldest purchase first. What you buy with Astra stays on your account and can't be turned back into Astra. A copy keeps its card change when you trade, sell or give it.
- Bundles are priced in US dollars or Canadian dollars, before tax. Taxes are added at checkout where they apply. The payment page may offer to let you pay in your own currency, at an exchange rate it shows you before you pay. A purchase keeps the price and the Astra shown when you started it, even if they change later.
- Purchases are for adults only. By buying Astra, you confirm that you are 18 or older and allowed to use the payment method.
- Your Astra arrive in your balance as soon as the payment is confirmed, usually within a few seconds. If your bank takes longer, they arrive on their own once it confirms.
- To protect accounts against fraud, an account can spend up to 300 US dollars in any 30 days. Checkouts still open count, and a purchase in Canadian dollars counts at its bundle's price in US dollars. We may set a different limit on an account, and pause purchases on an account during a payment dispute (section 4) or to stop fraud.
3. Payments through Stripe and Link
- Payments are handled by Stripe, through Stripe Managed Payments. The payment page says "Sold through Link": Sold through Link, LLC, a Stripe company, resells Astra to you as the merchant of record. It charges your payment method, collects and pays sales tax or VAT, sends your receipt by email and handles questions about the payment, refund requests and payment disputes.
- Link's Sold through Link Terms and Purchase Terms apply to the payment itself. These Terms apply to Astra and to what they do in the game, and we remain responsible for them.
- We never see or store your card number or other payment details. Your bank statement shows a charge from LINK.COM.
- For a question about a payment or a receipt, you can contact Link support. For anything about Astra in the game, contact us (section 16).
4. Right of withdrawal and refunds
- In the European Union and the United Kingdom, consumers normally have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase made online. Astra are digital content delivered right away. Before you pay, you tick a box to ask for your Astra to be delivered immediately and to acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once they are delivered. For this reason, the right of withdrawal does not apply once your Astra are delivered. We keep a record of when you ticked the box and of the wording you saw, and we confirm your request by email after the purchase.
- Our refund policy: within 14 days of a purchase, you can get a refund for the Astra of that purchase that you have not spent. Open your Astra and choose Refund under Your purchases. Those Astra leave your balance at once, and the matching share of the price goes back to your payment method within a few days. This is a goodwill policy of ours, separate from the right of withdrawal. It applies to every purchase made while it is in these Terms.
- Spent Astra can't be refunded, and neither can what you bought with them.
- We also refund billing mistakes, such as a payment taken twice or a payment that delivered no Astra. Contact us.
- You can also ask Link support about a refund. Link handles those requests as the merchant of record (section 3).
- When a purchase is refunded, by us or by Link, the Astra of that purchase that are still unspent leave your balance, in proportion to the amount refunded.
- If you dispute a payment with your bank, the unspent Astra of that purchase are held and purchases pause on your account while the dispute is open. The rest of your account is not affected. If the payment is upheld, the Astra come back and purchases resume. If the dispute ends in your favour, the purchase is cancelled and purchases stay paused until we have reviewed it. Before disputing a payment, please contact us or Link support, since a refund is usually quicker.
- Buying with a payment method you aren't allowed to use, or abusing refunds or disputes, breaks these Terms (section 10).
5. Your account
- You must be 18 or older to create an account and play Kosmora.
- You sign in with your Google account or with one-time email links. Keep your Google account and your mailbox safe and never share a link.
- One account per person. Extra accounts to collect welcome packs, feed another account or arrange trades are not allowed.
- Your player name must not pretend to be someone else, or be offensive, hateful or misleading.
6. Fair play
- No bots, scripts, automation, scraping or tampering with the service. Play has to be genuine.
- Don't exploit bugs. Report them to us: honest reports are never held against you.
- No harassment, abusive album names or descriptions, or spam reports.
7. Kosmo, market and Black Market
- Income, prices, odds and fees are decided by the game. The numbers you see update live and are final once confirmed.
- The market and Black Market are open to every account from the first day. We may limit market access on an account that breaks these Terms (see section 10).
- Auctions: the listing fee is paid when you list and isn't refunded; it depends on the starting price and the duration. A fee is taken from the seller when a card sells. Fees go to no one; they are removed from the game. A bid holds its full amount until you're outbid or the auction ends. A bid in the last two minutes extends the auction. A listing can be cancelled only before the first bid. Bids are final.
- Black Market: one offer per day (UTC), a single copy for the whole world, paid in Kosmo. The first buyer gets it. Exclusive cards are never re-issued.
- Fusion destroys the fused copies for good, in exchange for one card of the next rarity.
8. Content and credits
- Card texts are adapted from English Wikipedia under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 licence. Each card links to its article and contributors.
- Pictures come from Wikimedia Commons under their own licences (credited on each card) or are made by AI and labelled as such. AI pictures are artistic interpretations, not photos.
- Kosmora is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Wikimedia Foundation. See Credits.
- Encyclopedic content can be wrong. Use Report on a card page to flag text, a family or a picture.
9. What you write
You're responsible for what you write (player name, albums). You let us show it in the game. We may remove anything that breaks these Terms.
10. Moderation and corrections
- We may limit market access, remove content or suspend accounts that break these Terms, in proportion to the problem.
- Mistakes in balances or ownership are fixed with logged corrections, never by quietly rewriting history. We may reverse gains that came from bugs or abuse.
11. Changes to the game
We balance and improve the game: prices, odds, talents, families and rules can change. Changes apply from then on and we announce the big ones. A card's rarity is fixed when it first appears, except in rare, announced, logged migrations. Bundles, shop prices and what Astra buy can change too. A change never takes back what you already bought, and a purchase keeps the price it was made at.
12. Availability
We aim to be reliable but can't promise the game is always up. Parts of it (sign-ups, packs, auctions, Black Market, pictures) can pause for maintenance. Actions the game has confirmed are never lost.
13. Closing your account
You can delete your account in Settings. It takes effect after 7 days and you can cancel before then. Running auctions and bids finish first. Some history is kept without your identity to protect the game's economy (see Privacy). Astra are deleted with your account, so ask for any refund you are due before the deletion takes effect. We may close accounts for serious or repeated violations. The Astra of an account we close are lost, apart from refunds the law requires.
14. Liability
The game is provided "as is". As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses or for lost game items, which have no cash value apart from the refunds of Astra in section 4. Nothing here limits liability that can't legally be limited, or your rights as a consumer.
15. Governing law
These Terms follow the law of the country from which Kosmora is run. You keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country.
