Lungo, or caffè lungo, is an Italian-style coffee made with an espresso machine. It uses more water than a short black, or single espresso shot, producing a larger drink. A lungo may take up to a minute to pull and can fill 50 to 70 millilitres. Its extraction is affected by bean variety, grind and machine pressure. In French it is called café allongé and is popular in Quebec, Canada.
